What sets us apart
Design that holds up
Working with an interior designer should feel like a good conversation, not a transaction. Here's what choosing Grael actually means in practice.
Back to HomeCore advantages
Six things you get with Grael
A dedicated point of contact
You work with the same designer from start to finish. No handoffs, no repeating yourself to a new person halfway through.
Deep local supplier knowledge
We know the material landscape in KL well. That means better sourcing decisions, fewer surprises on lead times, and honest price comparisons.
Clear, ongoing communication
Project updates at every milestone. You're never left wondering where things stand or waiting weeks for a reply.
Realistic timelines, kept
We only commit to timelines we can actually meet. If something causes a delay, we tell you immediately — not the week it was supposed to be done.
Your pace, respected
Some clients want to move quickly; others need time to make decisions. We adapt to how you work, not the other way around.
Value in the long view
We select materials and furniture that age well. A space designed to last ten years costs less in the end than one that needs redoing in three.
Expertise
Years of practice, applied to your brief
The Grael team brings a combined background in architecture, interior design, and construction management. That range matters — it means the design we produce is informed by what's actually buildable, what materials behave well over time, and what local contractors can realistically execute.
- Architecture and interior design qualifications
- 8+ years of active project experience in Malaysia
- Residential, studio, and commercial project types
Design that works on paper and in person
A beautiful render that can't be built within budget helps no one. We design with the construction reality in mind from the very first sketch.
3D renders before a single thing is ordered
We use current 3D visualisation tools so you can see how a space will look before anything is purchased or installed. Changes at this stage cost you nothing.
Technology
Visualise it before committing
Making significant decisions about your space is easier when you can actually see the result. Our 3D renders and detailed specifications mean you walk into the build phase with confidence, not uncertainty.
- Detailed 3D renders included in Draft-to-Design
- Material and furniture specifications in writing
- Two revision rounds before finalising
Service
A calm, responsive working relationship
Interior design projects can bring a certain amount of stress. We try to reduce that through preparation — clear agreements, documented decisions, and a team that responds to questions without making you wait.
- Responses within one business day
- Milestone updates in writing
- Post-completion support for minor adjustments
You shouldn't have to chase us
It's a simple standard — but we've heard enough stories from clients who've worked with other designers to know it isn't universal. We keep you informed so you don't have to wonder.
Fixed service fees, no hidden extras
Our design service fees are stated upfront. Procurement and construction costs are separate and itemised clearly before you approve anything.
Pricing
Honest about what things cost
Interior design fees in KL can be opaque. We keep ours transparent — a fixed price for the design service, with construction and procurement costs estimated and approved separately. You decide what to proceed with.
- Sketch Session: MYR 420 — all-inclusive
- Draft-to-Design: MYR 3,100 fixed design fee
- Studio-to-Site: MYR 1,650 management fee
Results
Spaces people actually want to be in
The measure of a good interior design project isn't the presentation deck — it's whether the client enjoys their space two years later. That's what we're working towards. Functional, personal, and worth the investment.
- 120+ completed projects in Malaysia
- High client return and referral rate
- Designs that feel right in year three, not just year one
Repeat clients tell us more than any award
When someone comes back for a second project — or refers a friend — it means the space served them well. That kind of feedback guides how we work more than industry recognition.

What's distinctive
Things you won't find everywhere
Sketch Session as a standalone service
Most studios only take on full projects. We offer a standalone creative session for MYR 420 — so you can explore ideas without committing to anything larger.
Sketch Session fee folds into full project
If you move from a Sketch Session into a larger service, the MYR 420 is applied towards your project cost. It doesn't become a sunk expense.
Studio visit included in every site-based service
We don't design from photos. A proper site visit — to understand light, proportion, and how the space actually feels — is built into our process from the start.
Final styling session at project close
The Studio-to-Site service concludes with a hands-on styling session — adjusting placement, adding finishing details, and making sure the space feels complete, not just constructed.
